29th Birthday

My birthday has been lovely so far!

Today is my birthday, but I say “so far,” because my party is tomorrow. I just love celebrating, just like anyone else would, I’m sure. Brain and I had brunch with my mom today, and then we shopped for the party tomorrow. We chilled for a bit, I did yoga and walked a little. Then we went to dinner at Provinos – a place where I got some money off my meal for it being my birthday!

Birthday – I’m 29!

It was really nice to have a date with Brian, which we don’t do so often, so it’s cherished when we do. We’re home now where I’m writing, and I want to eventually soak in the bath before bed and get some clear-minded meditation in.

I grew up learning that our Birthday was called our Power Day – specifically a week or two in time around your birthday where your spiritual power is “growing” and expanding. It’s a time where your prayers and meditations are more powerful, and a time where the Law of Attraction is the strongest. Whatever you think CAN become your reality. (With time and patience). Your positive thoughts attract what you want to you, and this experienced is magnified on your birthday!

I can actually feel my “power” approaching in my energy and in my hands and in my thoughts as it approaches each birthday. Each year you grow and learn more, hopefully develop spiritually more, as well, and that opens you up to feeling this.

Perhaps psychology would say it’s not “real” that I feel this, or that if I”m told I will feel powerful on my birthday, then my brain waves may cause it to feel so… or something of that nature. I haven’t studied psychology or physics beyond one class each in my life, so I may not be imagining the counterargument quite accurately. But how can someone tell you what you feel is wrong? It may not be “right” to them or their reality. But your spirit is something that’s hard to be tested.

My dad wrote in my birthday card:

This was a nice little reminder. Thanks dad.

But I think as well that many people probably didn’t grow up the way I did, learning to think of your birthday this way. It’s natural for me, now. It’s hard to explain to people why I know “I’m in my Power,” because it’s my birthday. Maybe people aren’t open to it. But why not believe that your psychic powers are enhanced as you age?
